Re: What ever happened to the good ole days....

What happened??

Robo Duck started the commercialization of duck hunting-- it created cleaned up, spic and span politically correct duck hunting and a lot of forums reflected this

Duck Commander TV made every wannabee think they could be cool if they could say "Cut em Jack" at least once a season--this morphed into the face painted, black hoodie wearing yahoos you see at duck parks that want more parking lots and think Quick Draw takes the place of scouting

WEbsites like The Fudge tended to cater to posers that think having the latest duck call, latest wading jacket and spouting nonsense on line is 'normal duck hunting'.....and it can go on all year long---

Add that old school duck hunters don't need to be told how to kill a duck--- have other things that require attention (wife, kids, job)

The Cafe is like the rest of life

The weak, the wannabees, the spammers and the know it all 3rd grade teachers either get run off or a ticket to the Spirit World

btw 3rd grade know it all teachers are not banned from posting-- they just have enough sense to realize we ain't buying their boolchit

The survivors don't need anyone to tell them how to kill a duck, know that there are a bunch of internet scouts lurking on forums that will show up at your local honey hole tomorrow if you post you limited out today and generally have heard all of the lies and all of the stories that this group are famous for---with the possible exception of Flocked
(Just kidding Vortex Master Flocked)

After awhile, folks don't post unless they have anything sensible to say except in the case of baseball or hockey in which case there are more than enough experts to provide some comic relief

The light bill has been paid-- the forum is here

use it as you will

If it is not your cup of tea--- then enjoy The Fudge and its PC culture or go read about deer hunting at Missouri Whitetails or whatever

and while I'm at it

Stay off my lawn
